OK, when I read Psalm 1, I see the theme to be "Walking uprightly v. wallowing miserably". I have to say that this theme goes perfectly with my all time favorite movie: "The Sound of Music". Maria doesn't let anyone get her down. She tries to do her best at whatever she does and in the end, she prospers. She could have chosen to be disillusioned by her failure as a nun, but she pulls up her bootstraps and exemplifies a tree planted by the water by giving her all with the children she works with. When the Nazis (v. 5-6 "the wicked")are on their trail, they are able to flee. Essentially, Maria's family prospers and the wicked Nazi's perish. To top it all, she gets to marry Capt. Von Trapp! It doesn't get any better than that!
